Established in 1985 Motorcity Motorist Centres Ltd is a well respected vehicle Mot, service and repair business originally trading in Pontefract and now based in Knottingley and Wakefield serving local communities and surrounding areas of West Yorkshire. The company is privately owned not part of a national chain, we believe our independence gives us the freedom to source goods, parts and complimentary services at the most competetive rates and pass on those savings to our customers.

Motorcity employ experienced well qualified staff, our most senior technicians have over 30 years experience, several having been with this company for more than 20 years. We are justly proud of our training record with staff gaining professional qualifications through City & Guilds, The Institute of Motor Industries, The Institute of Road Transport Engineers and The Society of Operations Engineers as well as more systems specific training from industry leading equipment manufacturers and suppliers.

Our modern workshops have a combined area of over 10,000sq/ft, accomodating 11 repair lifts with a capacity of up to 7.5 tonnes GVW, additional work and tyre bays, as well as Class 4 & 7 MOT testing facilities at both branches. We pride ourselves on having the latest diagnostic equipment and techniques, enabling  us to maintain your car or light commercial to the highest possible standards, servicing to manufacturers recommended schedules and providing original equipment quality parts to maintain your vehicle's warranty.

We are able to compete favourably with national fast fit chains in most cases when supplying and fitting Exhausts, Tyres, Brakes, Batteries, Shockabsorbers etc. as well as offering a much wider service including MOT testing, Diagnostic repairs, Clutch repairs, Timing Belt replacement, Steering and Suspension repairs, Engine and Gearbox repairs, Electrical Work, Servicing and general maintenence.
